On October 16, 2020, a client alleged that Henry Chang had engaged in “selling away.” Selling away describes the unscrupulous practice of selling securities that were not approved for sale by the a brokerage firm. Selling away violates  FINRA’s rules because it allows brokers to sell securities without the supervision and scrutiny provided by a firm. The dispute is pending.

On March 12, 2008, a client alleged that Mr. Chang misrepresented auction rate securities. The dispute settled for $75,058.

Henry Chang has passed the Series 66 Uniform Combined State Law Examination, the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, and the Series 7 General Securities Representative Examination. He is a registered broker in California, Florida, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, South Dakota, and Washington. He is a registered investment adviser in California and Texas.
