On June 4, 2020, multiple clients alleged that Christopher Monahan knew that they did not want to purchase high-risk securities. In spite of their instructions, the clients allege that Mr. Monahan recommended high-risk, concentrated investments in Puerto Rico bonds. The clients further allege that Christopher Monahan characterized these high-risk bonds as safe investments. The clients are seeking $1,000,000 in damages; the dispute is pending.

He is a registered broker in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, and Wisconsin. He is also a registered investment adviser in Connecticut.
